Schmutziger Donnerstag (Fasnacht Luzern)

, or "Dirty Thursday," marks the start of the Fasnacht carnival in Lucerne, Switzerland. It is a lively and colorful celebration steeped in tradition, featuring elaborate costumes, masks, and vibrant parades. The festivities kick off early in the morning with a loud and energetic procession led by "Fritschi," a symbolic character representing the spirit of Fasnacht. Guggenmusik (brass bands) play festive tunes, and the streets come alive with confetti, food stalls, and revelers enjoying the joyous atmosphere. Schmutziger Donnerstag sets the tone for the rest of the carnival, which continues until Ash Wednesday.

Meeting point is Zug train station Platform 4 where we take the 18:03 train to Luzern.

We will stay in a chalet in Nendaz. We have 6 rooms, a sauna, Jacuzzi and all the good stuff

Some people stay in MAD Retreat Hotel in center of Nendaz So far 13 people are registered, which means quite a big group already! If more people want to join, I can book one more chalet or apartment nearby.
