The IMCZ has been organizing and hosting a series of fascinating events for its members for more than 25 years. Here is a sampling of past IMCZ events:

  June 2010 - Special Stammtisch with Franz Bachmann

Special Stammtisch event with Bernhard Bauhofer - Reputation Management.

  October 2009 - Watch Factory Haldimann

IMCZ was invited to receive a tour of the Haldimann works and watchmaker’s studio in Thun. Halidimann makes exclusive timepieces, produced by hand almost entirely on the premises, and the company has critical acclaim.

  August 2009 - 30th Anniversary Event

IMCZ celebrated its 30th Anniversary, commemorating three decades of integrative activity by and on behalf of its broadly international membership in Zug and environs. A picnic and barbecue event on the afternoon/evening at Heuboden in Holzhäusern included live music and activities.

A trip to see the Atomic Energy Facility at Leibstadt.

  April 2009 - International Watch Company

A tour of the IWC factory and take the opportunity to see how these fine watches are crafted. A good day out seeing a lovely town and a great Swiss manufacturer.

  March 2009 - Ski Excursion to Titlis in Engelberg

Ski weekend on Mount Titlis in Engelberg.

  January 2009 - Annual Burns Supper

This years Burns Supper, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the great Scottish poet, Robbie Burns, was a sell out event. All the traditional Scottish fanfare was there: kilts, haggis, tatties and neeps, Scottish bagpipes and liberal doses of Uisge'beah (whisky).

  December 2008 - Rinspeed Visit

As an early Christmas present, the club went to Rinspeed to see cars of the past, present and future.

November 2008 - Annual IMCZ / ZIWC Bowling Tournament

November 17th found members of the IMCZ and ZIWC at Cherry Bowl lanes in Baar for the annual IMCZ/ZIWC bowling tournament. The IMCZ bowlers were up to the test and once again took home the tournament cup in this annual ten-pin bowling event with the Zug International Women's Club.

  October 2008 - Grimselworld Excursion

An excursion to Grimselworld, an area of stunning mountain views, natural beauty and power for hiking and biking through the area as well as a tour of one of the dams.

  September 2008 - IMCZ Golf Day – The Masters

A day filled with golf, beer, prizes, golf and beer.

January 2008 - Annual Burns Supper

As is tradition by now, the club celebrated Burns night with all its splendor. Fine food, fine drink and fine oration made for a wonderful time.

November 2007 - Annual IMCZ / ZIWC Bowling Tournament

November 13th found members of the IMCZ and ZIWC at Cherry Bowl lanes in Baar for the annual IMCZ/ZIWC bowling tournament. The IMCZ bowlers were up to the test and once again took home the tournament cup in this annual ten-pin bowling event with the Zug International Women's Club.

September 2007 - Tour of the RUAG Aerospace Factory, Emmen

On September 11th the IMCZ arranged a tour of the facilities at RUAG Aerospace in Emmen. While there we saw how RUAG performs maintenance of the F-5 Tiger and F/A-18 Hornet aircraft for the Swiss Air Force as well as production of parts for the Ariane 5 rocket and Airbus A380.

September 2007 - IMCZ Charity Golf Pro-Am

On September 9th, the annual IMCZ Charity Pro-Am golf tournament was held at the Holzhäusern golf course. The day's activities resulted in the IMCZ presenting a check for CHF 6'800.- to the Lutisbach Kinderheim in Oberägeri. Special thanks to Peter Sproston, John Stuart and Graham Evans for their organizational efforts.

July 2007 - Tour of the Pilatus Aircraft Factory, Stans

On July 10th, IMCZ members were treated to a tour of the Pilatus aircraft factory by IMCZ member Jonathan Greenway. Pilatus is the world market leader in the manufacture of single-engine turboprop aircraft and the only Swiss company to develop, produce and sell aircraft and training systems all over the world.

May 2007 - First Zug Expat Day

On May 12th, the IMCZ helped organize and staff the first Zug Expat Day in the Zug Old Town. In addtion to an information stand in the Casino, the IMCZ ran the highly popular raclette stand on the Huwilerweise.

May 2007 / November 2007 - Tour of the Eichhof Brewery

On May 30th the IMCZ and again on November 20th the ZIWC arranged a tour of the Eichhof brewery in Lucerne. About twenty members of the ZIWC and IMCZ took part on the November tour and were able to see the process of beermaking from mixing the ingredients through fermentation, to bottling and shipping.

January 2007 - Annual Burns Supper

January 26th found some 70 members and guest of the IMCZ at the annual Burns Supper, celebrating the life and poetry of the great Scottish poet, Robbie Burns. Haggis, tatties and neeps, Scottish bagpipes and beyond a wee dram of Whisky rounded out a great evening.

May 2007 - Visit to Seleger Moor

On May 15th the IMCZ once again arranged its annual visit to the Seleger Moor. Following a club-sponsored apéro, IMCZ member Roland Dünner, head horticulturist at Seleger Moor, led IMCZ members and guests on a guided tour of the park's highlights.

September 2006 - Visit to the Sonnenberg Civil Defense Tunnels, Lucerne

On September 16th the IMCZ arranged a tour of the underground civil defense "fortress" in Lucerne. This Civil Defence complex in the Autobahn tunnels Sonnenberg in Luzern is the largest of its kind in the world. Built during the cold war between 1970 and 1976, it was designed to house 20’000 civilians in time of war. The 1.5m thick front doors weigh 350’000 Kg each and were built to withstand a 1 Megaton bomb at a distance of 1Km

May 2006 - Visit to Seleger Moor
