Andy was born in Birmingham, England, to a Swiss father and English mother. He moved to Switzerland in 1987 to
find his fortune and despite not finding it has settled here and lives in Luzern and is father of two children.
He is a Certified Master Coach and his business is based in Zürich and focused on executive coaching and training
to international businesses with a focus on neuroscience. He has written one book and is currently working on two
others. In his free time Andy does plenty of sport: karate and athletics (he gave up rugby a few years ago
because of old age!) and he skis regularly in winter.
Muthana was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. He was not quite 18 when he won a scholarship to study engineering
in the UK and returned home in 1962 with a PhD from Imperial College, University of London in communication,
electrical engineering. After finishing his national service in the Iraqi Air Force, he joined the staff of
the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, where he stayed until 1978 when he emigrated to Switzerland,
just before Saddam came to power. He founded a successful trading company in Steinhausen, whose management he
has now passed on to his son, whilst enjoying semi-retirement. Muthana is married with three grown up children
and five grandchildren. He enjoys skiing in the winter and boating in the summer as well as cycling all year round.
Max is German and came to Switzerland in 2008 together with his wife Tanja. They formerly lived in Munich for
some years after having moved around several places. Max studied technically oriented business administration
and holds a PhD in economics. His career led him from strategic consultancy to various entrepreneurial engagements
of his own in the field of bio-technology, software / internet and alternative energy production. He is a "hands-on"
entrepreneur who works with technical partners to develop their projects and inventions into solid businesses.
Max loves the mountains, enjoys sailing and is very fond of meeting new people. He considers a good glass of wine
together with a nice card- or chess-game to be a wonderful way to fill his spare time.
Andrew was born in Salisbury, England, and grew up in England and South Africa. He spent 20 years working in
logistics before deciding to have a career change and in 2009 he passed his ski instructing exams with the British
Association of Snow-Sport Instructors (BASI). He has been working in Hoch Y-Brig for the 2010-2011 season.
He came to Switzerland in January 2010 with his now-fiancee and they hope to get married sometime this year.
His main hobbies are skiing, photography, travel, keeping fit and golf.
An American born in 1960, John spent his early years in the Chicago area of Illinois and then in Michigan followed by
a decade in Houston, Texas, before moving to Switzerland in 1991. He's worked in restaurants and warehouses, but now
he's settled down as a "computer guy," doing software testing, release packaging and documentation writing for a software
development firm here in Zug. John spends a lot of his free time in the sport of fencing, whether acting as referee,
competing in tournaments, or just training for greatness. He's been on the executive committee of the Zuger Fechtclub for
some ten years now, and manages their Website.
Ermano, 56, with Swiss and Italian nationality, is a multilingual tourism and hospitality manager with keen experiences in
leading of luxury hotels and executing high-level congresses. Already as a youth he was working on board a world-class
cruise-liner. After visiting and living in more than 100 countries he is very happy and proud to live in Zug/Unterägeri.
He has a significant cultural awareness and loves all kind of sports. Ermano was previously an IMCZ member in 1986–1989
and rejoined last year.
Patrick grew up in South Africa and still tries to visit the country at least once per year. He currently works
for a software company that develops, sells, implements and maintains its own core banking system, primarily in
Germany, Luxembourg, England / CI and Switzerland. He has previously been CIO of a financial services company in
Frankfurt and Luxembourg, and spent over ten years travelling around the world managing core banking system
implementation projects for Credit Suisse. He's married with two young boys and his hobbies include golf, wine,
cigars, reading and travelling.
